I'm writing my first novel and sharing the writing and publishing process.
I’ve already written a business book (The Email Edge: How to Master Email Marketing to Grow Profits for Your Business).
But now I’m doing something completely different: I’m writing my first fiction novel, The Light in the Orchard.
It’s a coming-of-age story set in Cherry Orchard, a working class area of west Dublin, in the early 2000s.
The story is fiction but like most stories worth telling, they're rooted in real conversations, real places and real connections.
I’m documenting every step of the writing and publishing journey.
From blank page jitters to messy drafts… right up to launch day in Dublin.

About the book:
The Light in the Orchard is my first work of fiction.
It follows Jenny, a 13-year-old girl growing up in a Dublin council estate, who decides to bring hope back to her community by starting a local talent show.
It’s raw. It’s funny. It’s messy.
(Kind of like growing up.)
Underneath it all, it’s about finding light in the darkest places and what family really means.

It's inspired by my experience growing up in Cherry Orchard, Ballyfermot.
